When you're ready to take the first step toward recovery, you need more than just a list of options—you need a treatment program that makes sense. At Sheridan Grove Recovery, just outside of Denver, we provide options designed to address the root issues of addiction, teach new coping skills, and set you on a course toward a hopeful future.
Here you’ll find a compassionate team committed to trauma-informed care and clinical excellence. Whether you’re seeking help for the first time or returning to treatment, we offer whole-person, grounded support.
What makes our programs different?
Sheridan Grove Recovery is dedicated to accessibility for all. We offer support to our community by making sure treatment is available to anyone ready to transform their lives. That’s why we accept Medicaid and most major insurance plans.
Our 80-bed center is set against the backdrop of the nearby Rocky Mountain foothills and provides a safe haven for restoration. And because every client who walks through our doors is different, our treatment plans are uniquely tailored to your needs.
Medical detox: the beginning of your recovery journey
Detox is often the first step for clients walking through our doors. Though this step can be intimidating, it’s essential to stabilize your body and prepare your mind for the deeper work ahead.
Our medical detox program provides 24/7 compassionate support. We’ll monitor your withdrawal symptoms closely and use medications like Subutex and Suboxone when clinically appropriate to ease discomfort and reduce cravings. You won’t have to face this step alone.
- Duration: Typically 10-14 days
- Environment: Medically supervised and safe
- Goal: To prepare your mind and body for the next phase of treatment
Detox is a brave step, and one you’ll be proud of yourself for taking. Once your mind and body are substance-free, you’ll be ready for the transformative process of treatment.
Inpatient treatment: the right structure for lasting change
When detox is complete, clients transition directly into our residential inpatient program. This live-in care model is designed to help you rebuild a healthier life through daily routines, therapeutic support, and community connection.
- Duration: Typically 21-30 days
- Individual therapy: One-on-one sessions focused on trauma, addiction triggers, and personal growth
- Group therapy: Peer-led healing through shared experience and camaraderie
- Evidence-based practices: Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and trauma therapy
- Additional support: Life skills training, nutritional education, and art therapy
The tools for self-improvement learned during inpatient treatment are tools you’ll use for the rest of your life. Think of this time as an investment not just in your sobriety, but in a healthy, happy life.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT): for added support
Medications like FDA-approved Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Subutex are a critical part of staying in recovery for some clients. MAT is offered when clinically appropriate, especially for those recovering from opioid or alcohol use disorders.
MAT also:
- Combines medication with therapy
- Reduces the risk of relapse
- Helps support the brain and body during recovery
Co-occurring disorders: integrated mental health care
Addiction rarely exists in isolation. Many clients at Sheridan Grove Recovery face co-occurring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Our clinicians are trained in dual diagnosis treatment, offering therapeutic approaches that address both substance use and mental health simultaneously.
- Conditions treated: Anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, depression, schizoaffective disorder, sleep disorders, and more
- Therapies used: A variety of trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities including CBT and MI, as well as other forms of psychotherapy
- Goal: To build emotional resilience and improve long-term outcomes
Getting to the root of your addiction and finding the deep support needed to address mental health conditions is the most effective route to a life of sustained sobriety.
Aftercare: support beyond treatment
When people say they’ll always be in recovery, what they mean is that they’re always actively using the tools they were equipped with in treatment. That’s why Sheridan Grove Recovery invests so much time and effort into teaching you those tools, and why we offer aftercare services. Aftercare helps our clients maintain connection through support groups, events, and resources to navigate life after rehab.
In our aftercare program, you’ll find:
- Ongoing support and accountability
- Relapse prevention tools
Preparing for life outside of treatment is crucial. Your success is maintained by healthy influences and people who understand the journey.
